Black Beauty

The first time I ever upcycled furniture was over 10 years ago. Moved into new house with loads of furniture and even then I hated seeing it go to waste so I painted everything in the bedroom black and I loved it. And i still adore black furniture (and clothes čśé). Its very seldom anyone asks for black but when they do you just know it’s going to look class. I cannot recommended enough @colourtrendpaints čÄĘ Dressage Black. It is without a doubt my go to black and yes I promise there is a difference in blacks lol. The same as there are about 10 million diff Whites čÖłčÖł (slight exaggeration)
Anyhow a big Happy Friday to you all now c’mon Sun čî× I see you struggling.

What a fabulous surprise to find myself in @rsvpmagazine1 this month. I’m just a little bit excited čĄúčĄú. This dressing table has always been one of my favourite ever revamps and to have it shared with the whole of Ireland is just amazing.

Book Corner

I may have many many aches and pains after going to see Metallica at the weekend but I still had to finish this piece off today. Only had a little bit to do so I suffered through čśéčśé. Had a little fun with it too using a few different colours and blending them together. This piece is for sale and will be up in my Facebook shop shortly.

Back to School

Without a doubt these desks really give you that feeling of nostalgia. Memories of being back in primary school, for me anyhow (I feel very old right now čśéčśé)
I think a lot of us might also remember often getting a slap off the ruler too sitting at these desks ( was that just me?? čĄö) However regardless of what memories these desks bring they are still fab to look at and if anything that little bit of colour now brings the fun back and they are ready to make new memories for a little boy and girl. No One Puts TV in the Corner

This was a one day revamp on this TV corner unit. Its amazing what you can do in one day. I think anyone who has attended one of my workshops would agree with this too. I am also very sure mexican pine was just made to paint over lol. And just look at those dolphin handles ÔŁĄÔŁĄÔŁĄ

Now this is a weird one. This piece doesn’t even feem like my work čśéčśé. Where’s the colour???čĄö. Sometimes it’s nice to go outside your comfort zone because you never know what might happen. This is the 2nd roll of self adhesive paper I was kindly gifted by @hometextilewarehousediy and it has worked a treat. I must say I am having great fun trying out these papers and I’ve been completely basing my ideas around the paper patterns rather than paint colours and the end results are really feeling like a completely different direction for me. Different is good though, but now I’m off to find my bring pink paint čî║čîĚčśéčśé I’m having withdrawal symptoms čĄ». @ Waterford, Ireland

Off their Lockers

Nearly finished for the weekend but just had to share these lockers before I go. I was #gifted a few rolls of this fab self adhesive paper from @hometextilewarehousediy recently to try out and this design is the one that caught my eye immediately so I had to try it first. As you might have already guessed I love decoupage on furniture and use it quite regularly whether its napkins or wallpaper. I’ll definitely be adding this paper to my list too. It was nearly too easy to use if that is such a complaint čśé. Two simple steps and I was done. Cut it and stick it and that is it. It adheres so well too without any bubbles and was very easy to cut. This is a fantastic way to bring some decoupage into your furniture without the mess and literally anyone can use it and best of all it wont break the bank. Keep an eye for more finished pieces over the next week or 2 as i try out all the designs.
