And that is a wrap for this week. How beautiful is this set of bedroom furniture. I was delighted to get to revamp it and now it gets too go home to a delighted little girl. Painted in Farrow and Ball 🎨Peignoir and of course all the hardware looks brand spanking new from the metallic wax. Im going to take it easy this weekend as its my last weekend off for the next 5 weeks with workshops lol. Kilkenny, Waterford, Dublin and Wexford i will see you all soon @ Waterford, Ireland
I saw this vintage Disney wallpaper and I knew it was time to revamp a piece for the younger crew. This piece was given to me by a lady who held on to it for many years since it was handmade for her. Its a real sentimental piece and she didnt want to dump it but it was time for it to move on and I’m delighted that it gets a new lease of life for another girl or boy. And again just look at the wallpaper ❤❤❤
Will be available in my shop soon.

I have changed my mind at least 50 times on what i was going to do with this locker/wardrobe. So I decided to go with the first colour that came into my head when I opened up the workshop yesterday 😂😂 and Im pretty glad I did. When I was getting it ready yesterday I found a stamp on it registering the date it was made 1952. And still in perfect condition ❤❤. Will be available in the shop shortly.
I must say I’m definitely lusting after this book case myself. These 2 beautiful colours are just meant to be with each other and this bookcase is going to very happy in it’s new home. Happy FRIDAY everyone, I’m just about finished and intend on enjoying some of this welcome but unexpected sunshine 🌞🌞

Part 3 of my office revamp now finished. I’m definitely loving the coral at the moment. It’s such a happy colour so I’m hoping it’ll keep a smile on face when doing accounts 😂😂. Im so happy to say that each piece of furniture in my office so far was saved from going to landfill. It amazing what people give away and even more amazing when they are given a whole new lease of life. .
I’m getting there very slowly with turning the unused junk room into the home office 😂😂. I have the desk finished and im loving my new fire cover. It was gifted to me months ago and i finally got around to Revamping it. Still more to do, I just need more hours in the day 🙈
So I totally forgot to put up pics of my new computer desk. I’ve been doing up my home office for what feels like the last 6 months. To be fair though the summer got in the way 😂😂. I’m getting there bit by bit. I find dressing tables are absolutely fantastic for Revamping and turning into office desks. Repurposing at it’s best 😊. This is painted in @colourtrendpaints Sari and Mucky Swan.
So this piece fought back against the revamp quite a lot 🤣🤣 but I got there in the end. I knew all along it had to be pink and I knew I had to just go with my crazy on this one. Note : I always go with the crazy 😉. I couldnt for the life of me find handles i was happy with for this piece so I improvised and if you swipe through photos you will see how the tassle handles came about. A little imagination, some tassle keyrings, plain white knobs and spray paint and some decoupage to finish.
I absolutely love how they turned out. Now did I put vodka in those cocktails. I better check just in case 🤣😉🤔.

This has always driven me crazy about how certain paint companies make it seem like you just open the tin, get your brush and off you go. The first picture is after I washed down the piece with methylated spirits to get the surface dirt off. The second picture is after I scrubbed thoroughly with sugar soap (pic 3 is just from that small area). Very old pieces like these most often will have come from houses where people smoked but because it’s a progressive ingrained stain over many years, it can look to people that it is just now the colour of the wood. Always double check old furniture when cleaning otherwise you are wasting your time painting it 🙂
I feel like it has been forever since I painted something red. But the minute this piece arrived into the workshop it was earmarked for red no matter what, and i think its sage to say it paid off. This will also be available in my Facebook shop in next day or two. In the meantime if you are interested in buying this piece just fill out the Contact Form
