My home showcases various projects created throughout the years. See my contact information below and get in touch.
The Living Room

Every room in my house has upcycled furniture in it. In fact apart from my sofa and bed everything is second hand, just the way I like it π. This sideboard is probably the only piece that was not being thrown out before i got my hands on it. My friend was emigrating to Oz and so needed a new home for it and I happily obliged. This is our chill out/TV room and pretty much the massive sofa takes up most of the room but hey when we chill out we really chill out ππ. I got this coffee table from a charity shop a good while back and loved it as is, so it’s one of very few pieces of furniture it the house that hasn’t been painted. So who is a fan of the green and blue together?
The Kitchen/Diner

Today’s room is the kitchen alcove/dining area. If it’s not totally obvious already ππ I was very much inspired by my travels to South America a few years ago. I brought back a load of cushion covers from Peru and Bolivia so totally revamped the kitchen around them. Blues, Oranges and Reds are the main colours found here. Both the table and wine rack were destined for the dump until I got my hands on them πͺ. The wine rack is extremely sad at the moment there is literally one bottle of wine left in it π
The table is the perfect size for here. It’s old, solid, well made and extremely heavy and has a drawer. What more could I want. The built in seat has been an array of colours over the years but once I found @colourtrendpaints π¨Calm Interlude I knew that was the colour it was always supposed to be. The table is painted in Colourtrend π¨ Porcelain Doll and the wine rack in π¨Romantic Night
The Front Room

So on to the 3rd room and more revamped furniture. This is the front room with the open fire. Not a room photo as it’s all about this piece of furniture today. This was again destined for the skip and was originally a dressing table. So I took the mirror off and made it into a mini sideboard. This is the front of the house and its doggie Lars favourite spot. Up on the windowsill watching the world go by. Over the years he used to be able to jump up to get there but he is 10 now and not so much unable but incredibly lazy ππ. Granted there used to be a chair there so it was easier for him lol. He will sleep up on the window for hours but the older he gets the more afraid i am he would fall so this piece fitted perfectly under the window and trebled the space. I lift him up there every day when he wants. Then of course I decided it just wasnt comfortable enough for him so I got a little faux fur rug to put on top π and I must say I love how it looks. I will prob get a new different colour at some stage but I had that one already so it does the job. Moral of this story is almost everything in this house revolves around the dog ππ oh and old dressing tables repurposed into mini sideboards are the bomb π

The Office

Next up is a little corner of my office. This is the most current room that I have redecorated and I still have a little bit to do as in paint the actual walls and get rid of the dark blue π. I definitely want something lighter like a mint I think π€·ββοΈ. This was a dressing table again that was being thrown out until I got a call asking for I want it. I mean does a bear s##t in the woods?? πππ And I repurposed it into the perfect desk. Loads of room and storage. I see loads of beautiful home offices online and they always have fabulous office chairs, but I always think to myself there is no way half of them are comfortable enough to sit in for a few hours while working π€·ββοΈ?
That’s why this old black beauty is never leaving this room. I don’t care how it looks, it’s so comfy I could sleep in it. To be honest doing accounts would make me fall asleep anywhere though π. Lastly the canvas on the wall is probably the last piece of art I made. A little mixed media which I do love making. I think I need to make more time to go back to my art roots π©βπ¨π¨πΌ
The Spare Bedroom

Back to some house photos today with the spare bedroom. This is definitely a much calmer decorated room than the rest of the house π
The bedspread that you get a glimpse of belonged to my late grandmother and it is just beautiful, so the room is all worked in around it. This dressing table came from a house clearance and if you are wondering where you have seen the wallpaper on the drawers before, it’s the same as the locker I used for my recent video tutorials. That locker now sits beside the bed. Was too awkward to get a pic of everything of course lol. And let’s be honest all the crap that was cleared from one side of the room to take this photo is now at the other side of the room anyway ππ
The Main Bedroom

So I did up our bedroom recently and I wanted a new headboard for the bed. I really wanted something rustic so decided I’d make a pallet headboard, which of course went on the loooong finger π. In the meantime we were getting a new garden fence in, and ordered an extra panel by accident. Said we would keep it, as shur it might come in handy sometime π. Then a light bulb went off in the head and by the end of the day we had a new headboard π€£π€£. I watered down the paint just to give it a wash of colour and stuck it up on the wall and I’m delighted with it. Now I have a load of pallets left π€ π€£
