I had 2 online workshops last weekend and thankfully I had these 2 old pieces of furniture. The drawers were perfect for demonstrating the different furniture techniques on. We went through Decoupage, Stencilling, Frog Tape and more. Of course I could just leave the drawers on their own 🀣🀣. So here are the finished pieces and they are now available to buy as a set. Dm for more info
It's safe to say this has to be the largest piece I've had in the workshop 🀣, but my god its an absolute stunner now. If its a statement you want then it's a statement you get lol. Painted I'm @colourtrendpaints 🎨Dressage with a hint of silver wax to highlight certain areas. And the most fab glittery black and silver wallpaper shines through all the glass. I normally at this stage get to say 'Yay it's Friday' but it's a workday for me tomro with my online workshop. Looking forward to them πŸ˜‰
How absolutely fabulous does this living room look. You might recognise the 2 pieces of furniture in each corner. One I revamped for Carol before Xmas and the other just went home yesterday. I am just i love with how beautifully the colour works on both the wall and the furniture. This is a prime example of why you don't always have to contrast the colour of your walls and furniture.
I do love a little Restoration project now and again. How rich in natural colour does it look now. Cup marks gone and a beautiful sheen to replace the faded look. Little brush of brass wax to bring the hardware back to its best and now ready to go home. It's weird finishing a project on a Monday cause it's always priming day 🀣🀣
And last but not least is this chair, which was a sentimental piece and now has a brand new look. I always say it but the simple upcycles are always just as important as the complicated, bespoke and fashionable ones πŸ˜‰. Let's not forget that upcycling is about reusing and reducing our waste and every upcycle is important, even if I do give out about grey a lot 🀣🀣
Another commission finished this week, only another 6 to go πŸ˜‰. This was a good solid tv unit which just didn't fit in the room it was in after redecorating. It's always great when people think outside the box and instead of getting rid, get it revamped. And of course I live the fact it's this fab blue πŸ’™ colour now and not grey 🀣
